Project Overview

The I-85 improvement project in Montgomery will expand capacity from the end of the existing six-lane section near Taylor Road to Jenkins Creek, helping improve traffic flow, safety, and long-term mobility along one of Alabama’s most heavily traveled corridors. The project also includes the replacement of four aging bridges over Chantilly Parkway and the Kershaw railroad, modernizing critical infrastructure and supporting continued growth and connectivity throughout the region.
